The elevation models obtained from UAV flights will permit from now on a great number of new applications. The calculation of large volumes in open air mines or public works outdoors, the simulation of flood plains near rivers or coasts or the valuation of large stocks outdoors are some of them. Digital models can be combined with ortophotos to obtain accurate 3D images.
